Neverending Nights

Hey folks. Just got an email from someone high up on the Bioware chain. It seems Neverending Nights was well received on the lower end of the totem pole at Bioware… but it apparently (slowly) made it’s way up the food chain and into the execs. Well, it apparently reached high enough where someone did not take kindly to us using Neverwinter Nights to use our machinima, and kindly asked us to cease production and close down the site. They’re giving us till April 15th to yank all the videos off our site here, then they will go through the channels needed to get it yanked off any other sites. They thanked us, and were very nice about everything. But they have to do what they have to do. So thank you all for riding the ride with us while it lasted – it’s been great! The person who contacted us about this was: Sloof Lirpa.

It’s now available for download to the general public! Episode 8: On Borrowed Gold (Right Click… SAVE AS…) is now available for your viewing pleasure! This one weighs in at a little over 6 minutes, but is a mere 35 or so megs! (Don’t ask me, I don’t know why this one turned out so small, despite the fact that it’s longer! Video Compression is Voodoo Magic to me!) After ye have checked it out, head over to the forum and comment on the episode! I will probably begin editing Episode 9 sometime next week (audio and filming is already done – just needs to be cut and diced).

Episode 8 is in the can! It’s been cut, diced, edited, and… Well, that’s it. But it’s pretty much near done. For some reason, there is a lot of audio feedback during the episode itself… Which I can’t figure out why. (Since later, it’s fine…) I considered calling Adam and asking if he wants to redo the audio for Episode 8… but poor Episode 8 has suffered enough setbacks. Also, Episode 9 begins the new recording system – so I figure you guys would gladly suffer one episode of some nasty background “humming” noise, just to get the dern episode at long last!

So, finishing up the last touches… and will be making it available as soon as possible! Thanks for sticking around during all of the delays!

UPDATE: The hissing sound “issue” that centered around Episode 8 is pretty much resolved. Because I know you guys want the best, and you expect the best, from the best – I couldn’t let Episode 8 go out the way it was sounding. (Besides, since it’s the Episode that features my wife – she’d think I did it intentionally to use the hissing sound to cover up her “amazing” voice acting skills!) Anyway, I’d like to give special thanks to Market Pantry Orange Citrus Soda for keeping me company while I figured out how to fix the sound…

Hello everyone – another small update! Last night we managed to re-film all of Episode 8 and Episode 9! We’re also using a new program that seems to generate a sharper image quality to the videos. (We’ll see once we’re done and through with everything!)

Hey folks! I know I said Episode 8 was almost done – but we’re going film some additional footage to use in it. We will probably be doing that this weekend. So Episode 8 will probably come out sometime next week. Also, starting with Episode 10 probably (I like numbers like 10!), we will be trying to deliver a new episode every 10 days (see, there’s that number 10 again! – Actually, the 10 days was Adam’s idea).
