Neverending Nights

The folks at Machinima.com have been hard at work! They recently launched a brand new look to their site! I gotta say, I dig it! It makes finding things much easier – also if you go into one series, if the maker has other items on Machinima.com – it kindly shows you links with thumbnails to them! Why don’t I grab a random example to show you? Let’s see… random search through Machinima.com… ah ha, here’s one that looks interesting! Check out how it looks!

Snazzy, eh?

And for those wondering, Episode 5 should be up any day now. (Probably sometime tonight). And gonna touch up Episode 6 some (we shot some additional footage to see if we could make it look smoother)…

Also, if you didn’t notice (I only discovered after a little bird told me! See! I didn’t duplicate the email this time! They will never know it was you, Ben! D’oh!) – Episode 1 on Machinima.com – now has a streaming Quicktime version of it! So check it out! (Special thanks to Ben for all the hardwork!)

Interesting. Stumbled across this while running around Machinima.com… it’s an editoral blog about the current state of Machinima! But why do I find it “interesting.”

Because other than Red vs Blue, it seems to tear apart every other Machinima out there… Except… check this out…

Neverending Nights. Got potential. Have to watch some more episodes.
But clearly, these guys know how to voice act and display emotion in the dialog.

Now I am floored… because when I read through the other ones it tore through… those are ones that have been around a lot longer than ours, and have more time under their belt.

You can read the whole thing over here.

You can also discuss it on our forum, over here and share your thoughts if you agree, disagree, etc – not just about what he said about us – but Machinima in general.

Also, if you head into the video section, you will see the final draft of Episode 5: Ye Salty Dog! (Right Click SAVE AS…) has been released for your downloading (dis)pleasure! Comment about the episode can be made on our forum! This episode introduces our first “new actress” into Neverending Nights! It’s Christi, the Salt Vendor from Galana! And if you have been following the poll on our forum she is currently winning the “Most Popular Character” vote! (So feel free to go in there and vote for “Peter”).

No, it’s not available for download – yet. We finished the audio last week and completed the filming just a few days ago. After some quick editing, Episode Six was completed about an hour ago! We’re now working on Episode 7 and the Christmas Episode! (Yes, Christmas! We know it’s late… or very, very early, depending on how you want to look at it!)

The final draft of Episode 4: A Walk In The Woods (Right Click – SAVE AS…) is now available! Just head into our video section to download it – and other episodes (if you have not already checked them out!) And also, you can jump into our forum and actually comment on the Episodes!

Not to us, but to Machinima.com! Been chit chatting with Ben over at Machinima.com over email, and here’s a tidbit of Machinima history he shared with me:

Little bit of machinima history tidbit – Machinima started (not counting the demo scene) in late 1996 using the computer game Quake. And tomorrow (unless it’s here already where you are living) is Machinima.com 5th Anniversary!
– Ben

So congrats on 5 very successful years!
