Neverending Nights

This was originally supposed to be used in Episode 60 when Grayson trains with John the Journeyman. And looking back – I actually don’t know why I used a different track during the training session. As a result, I can’t recall if this track ever got used – and so wanted to make sure it got heard – and laid it over the training scene (where I should have used it!) and it literally fits perfectly. So it will be a mystery as to why I never used this track rather than the one I used. (Other than I really love that haunting chant that can be heard on the other track).

Again, back with more music that had been provided to us by the incredibly talented Travis Richards. This one was entitled “Forbidden” – and I don’t recall if I ever actually used this piece or not. However, listening to it – it reminded me of this forbidden love feeling; and so the emphasis is on Andrea (starting with when Peter and Grayson first enter Galana, and Grayson eludes to an ex-girlfriend that lives in the town).

This song was created by Travis Richards for our series. It’s heard in Episode 63 (at the beginning, replacing our normal theme) – again in 63 when one of the heroes falls (no spoilers in this description! Watch the series to find out!) and again in Episode 64 during the flashback montage. I absolutely love this piece because it captures the feeling so well.

Will Taylor gets the credit for spotting this and sending it to me. He’d been playing Guild Wars 2 when something caught his eye – and one of the characters said Define “Lost.”

Now it could be pure coincidence; but the Define Lost had been the subtitle slogan for our little show Neverending Nights since 2005 or 2006. And since Guild Wars 2 is a fantasy setting game, there’s a chance (because back in 2005, we’d gotten a lot of attention from Bioware, Machinima, and even the Machinima Awards) – that someone caught our little show and managed to squeeze in a very subtle reference to the show.

You can see for yourself in the Youtube video (also found by Will Taylor! Thanks again) right around the 13:10 mark.

Once again, thank you Will Taylor!

Note: The video is someone else’s playthrough and not Will’s, just to be clear. He’d been simply playing, and not recording, which he reached this part. The video in question is just for reference!

I don’t think this song ever made it into ANY of our episodes – and I can’t even be sure why – because it’s SUCH a fantastic piece done by Travis “Snafe” Richards for us! Clearly I need to do something new so I can use this piece. Despite never being used – I definitely wanted to share it because it’s so great.
