History: Like all goblins from Stonemountain, Dink grew up a dancer. But that’s where Dink’s story varies. Dink wasn’t content being a dancer. He wanted something more out of life. One day, an old man came into the caves and Dink stumbled across the dying man. The man gave Dink his magic books, and explained how they worked, before passing onto the next life.
Dink grew obsessed with the idea of being able to use magic. Taking the old man’s staff and books, Dink returned back to his place. He tried to read the books – but that’s when he was painfully reminded that he’s a simple goblin. As in, Dink isn’t all that intelligent.
Dink’s sentences are rarely more than a few words, and they’re always simple statements (i.e., “I like to dance”, “I destroy world soon”, etc etc).
One night, Dink was out on Bridge Watch when he was surprised to see a dwarf approach him. Pawl the Dwarf introduced himself and said that he and his companions needed to pass. Dink explained that he would not let them pass unless he could out dance him. (This is how things are settled in Stonemountain Caves). He even ventured into the city of Stonefrost in search of “Magic for Idiots” books.
A Dance Off ensued, and not too much later, Pawl the Dwarf stood over the panting Dink. Dink granted them permission to pass and laid there, realizing that he wasn’t like the others. He wasn’t a good dancer. He was destined to something greater. Magic. He would either rule the world one day, or destroy it. He’d decide when that day came.
Albert, Bob and Charlie, worried that Dink hadn’t returned from Bridge Watch set out to find him. They found him, breathless, lying on the floor. He explained to them that a dwarf, human and half-elf had come through the caves and out danced him.
The trio dragged Dink back to the dance floor where he slowly recovered.
Unbeknownst to Dink and the others, things were set in motion that day that would change all of their lives.
