History: Blackmire City wasn’t always known as “Blackmire.” Long ago, it used to be known as Freeloader City. However, when there was a revolt between the poverty stricken and the unbelievably rich, Zoe Din, as a Neutral Priest of a Neutral Church in a Neutral part of the City let the cards fall as they may.
As it turned out, the poverty stricken people of Freeloader won the revolution, and managed to drive out the rich people of Freeloader City. With the rich gone, the poverty stricken people renamed the city Blackmire City, named after the swamp lands that surround it.
What the poor people of Blackmire City never realized was that the rich people made up more than 98% of the city’s population. Yet most of them, being so rich, had never raised a finger to fight – so when the revolution began, most of them simply fled.
Now, Blackmire City is mostly a ghost town. Zoe Din moved his Church (The Church of Resurrections, Reincarnations and Rose Carnations) to the City Front Gate, so that he could greet people as they came in.
Blackmire City is slowly beginning to repopulate. Many people who come into Blackmire City are down on their luck, having barely survived an expedition across the Scarasea Oceans, which is polluted with undead pirates.
