Andrea The Assassin

Andrea the Assassin

Race: Human
Occupation: Former Waitress, Assassin
Place of Birth: Galana
Known Relatives: “Evil Queen” (“adoptive” mother), Father (Unknown Name)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Episode 17: Heroes Bar & Keep
History: As Andrea the Assassin, there was very little known about her origin. It wasn’t revealed until much later, that she was actually known previously as Ruth before being recruited by the Crimson Draco and her army.

As Ruth, she had worked as a waitress in the city of Galana, where she first met Grayson. She was immediately enchanted by his tales of bravery and heroics (all of which was made up to impress her, because he had been drawn to her as well). Though Grayson was not from Galana himself, he had made the trip there several times, simply to see Ruth, each time returning with more grand (and fabricated) tales of heroics. One day, she brought out a dessert for Grayson, on the house, to thank him for all the heroics. She then sat with him and said she had wanted to run away with him and be with him and witness all these great things he did in the world.

That was the last meal Ruth ever severed Grayson, and the last time she ever saw him again.

For a very long time.

She had no idea what she had done to drive Grayson away (in truth, he was scared of revealing that he wasn’t the great hero he had painted himself to be, so he avoided Galana at all costs). Ruth, being broken hearted, was easily swayed by the Crimson Draco who found Ruth crying. She sensed great potential within Ruth, and great sense of revenge. The Crimson Draco took that and fed upon it and recruited Ruth. She changed Ruth’s appearance to be more sinister looking and changed her name to Andrea the Assassin.

She quickly rose in the ranks of the Crimson Draco army and was hand picked by the Crimson Draco herself to seek out “The Blade of Destiny” – a sword forged specifically to slay dragons. She followed a series of leads that eventually led her to the city of Stronefrost where she met Ronald the Wreckless, who had just sold the very sword she sought to two “would be heroes” (Peter and Grayson, though she did not know it was the same Grayson she knew). She struck down Ronald the Wreckless, as well as his guard, for good measure, and left them both dying on the frozen floor.

By order of the Crimson Draco, she met a gnome by the name of Daniel the Destructive, who was to assist her in tracking down the magical blade. Though she and Daniel did not get along (more so, she did not get along with him, due to his constant rambling), they did manage to finally track down Peter and Grayson and catch up with them. This is where she learned that the one who had the sword was none other than Grayson – the same man she had fallen in love with in Galana. She found that she could not strike down Grayson and take the sword. She had told Daniel to teleport herself and Daniel back to the Crimson Draco and report that they could not find the blade. However, due to Peter having Pepper Flavored Salt, which has been known to impact spells – it was actually Peter and Grayson (along with Pawl and Dean the Silver Dragon) that were teleported before the Crimson Draco.

Ruth the Redeemed

She would eventually make her way back to the Crimson Draco camp and discover that the Crimson Draco had been slain by Grayson. She could not believe it – Grayson had done a heroic feat – but not only that, she now had no one to turn to. Dean the Dragon appeared before her and explained that her soul was not yet lost – that she could make a difference. Peter and Grayson had been imprisoned by the Crimson Draco Guards until they figured out what to do now that their leader had been struck down. Andrea took up her original name, Ruth just as Dean the Dragon said she could redeem herself – she now called herself Ruth the Redeemed. She immediately went to the prison level and discovered, somehow, Peter and Grayson had escaped – but they had (unknowingly) left Pawl the Dorf behind. She freed Pawl and together they sought to catch up with Peter and Grayson. When they finally did, Pawl learned how to reforge the Blade of Destiny (which had lost its charge after killing the Crimson Draco). Now they fought hordes of armies under the command of the Dragon of Silverlake – who, they discovered – was an undead Dragon! Peter and Grayson had successfully killed the Dragon and opened the tavern they had always hoped. Ruth the Redeemed and Grayson the Fighter talked and cleared things up, realizing both of them had changed, and that their paths now went separate ways. Grayson remained as the owner of the new bar, while Ruth went on to help others against the other Dragon armies of the world.

Amiee the Armorer

Amiee The Armorer

Amiee the Armorer

Race: Elf
Occupation: Armorer
Place of Birth: Sunflower Vale
Known Relatives: Mother (Unknown Name), Father (Unknown Name)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Episode 8: On Borrowed Gold
History: Amiee the Armorer was a child who grew up in a world where fashion surrounded her at all times. In the Sunflower Vale, her people ruled the land and the trees. Elves were always dressed up so elegantly. Gowns were always long, sleek, and silky. Fit to perfection at all times.

Amiee had an eye for designing clothing herself. She rapidly became well known in Sunflower Vale for her clothing, and found herself in high demand. Realizing that there was a potential here to dress up the rest of the world, Amiee took her skills on the road. Her skills caught the attention of a mysteriously silver haired man named, Dean, who took her in and helped her hone her skills at her craft. As she grew older and more skilled, Dean explained that the outside world rarely cared about fluffy gowns. The world outside Sunflower Vale was a dangerous one, and so she turned to making armor with Dean’s help. From designing gowns to designing metallic armor, Amiee’s skill increased rapidly as she mastered the craft of making armor with a metal that Dean called ‘Silverscale.’

Still, despite the harsh world outside of Sunflower Vale, Amiee was still an elf. The desire to make elegant gowns could not be taken from her. So Dean, with seemingly an endless amount of money, helped Amiee the Armorer open a chain of stories, throughout a number of cities. Amiee the Armorer took it even further as she invented the idea of coupons, gift cards, and the like – to lure in more customers.

Her stores had gotten so big, that it became more of a production, and she lost the joy of making both gowns as well as armor. Dean assured her that he would hire people to take over and manage her stores; and that she should venture forth into the world and once again make both armor and clothing and sell that at small vending booths, to get a more personal feel that she so enjoyed. Dean assured her that one day, two young men would approach her seeking armor – and that she should keep an eye out for them, as they were destined to do great things – whether they believed it or not. He explained that she would know them by how they explained “how grapes grow.” Amiee the Armorer thought nothing of it, until one day – two would be heroes came to her seeking armor in Stonefrost City. The Ranger, who should clearly know how grapes grow (being all outdoors man like) said that “grapes grow on bushes” – and she corrected him, explaining that they actually grew on trees – which immediately triggered the memory of what Dean had once told her several years ago.

After selling the armor to the two would be heroes, Amiee took a vested interest in them and began following them. How would these two – seemingly incompetent people – somehow save the world?

She nearly lost them a few times, while following them – but picked them up again in the City of Ator, where her good friend Poppy the Salt Vendor explained that she had just seen them both come into the town. (Poppy had previously sold salt to them in the City of Galana).

Amiee lost them again, just inside the caves behind the City of Ator, where they had gone to find and kill a dragon. She did, however, encounter a Silver Dragon, who explained that the two heroes had just left. The Silver Dragon, for some strange reason, seemed strangely familiar to Amiee – but she could not place it. The Silver Dragon recruited Amiee as an Agent of the Silver Draco, and urged Amiee to track and follow Peter and Grayson.

Amiee finally catches up after Peter and Grayson are imprisoned by the Crimson Draco Legion, to be questioned about the Magical Blade called ‘The Blade of Destiny.’ Amiee, dressed as one of the Crimson Draco Legion manages to infiltrate the prison and free Peter and Grayson, making their escape. She learns that the Blade of Destiny’s flame has died out, after Grayson had managed to strike and kill The Crimson Dragon, and that none other than their companion Pawl the Dorf was the one who was destined to reforge the blade. They are reunited with Pawl the Dorf, who was rescued by none other than Ruth the Redeemed (formerly Andrea the Assassin). Learning the art of forging from Sam the Smith, they are transported to the Forge of Eternal Flame by Madame Marie, where Pawl reforges the Blade of Destiny, which is needed to kill the Dragon of Silverlake.

Inside the mountain, the Dragon of Silverlake detects the magical sword’s presence and sends wave after wave of monsters to destroy it and those who bear the weapon, causing the group to separate so that Peter and Grayson can reach the Dragon of Silverlake to put an end to it.

Amiee the Armorer doesn’t how how it happened, only that supposedly Grayson delivered the killing blow (which he doesn’t remember), making them the greatest heroes in all the land. With the riches recovered from the Dragon of Silverlake’s lair, Grayson opens a bar called The Bar of Destiny and hires Amiee the Armorer to design a cohesive look for the bar’s employees. Amiee now owns the largest mall in all of the land, right in the center of the City of Neverending (entitled, The Mall of Neverending).

Hair: Purple

Albert the Goblin

Albert The Goblin

Albert the Goblin

Race: Goblin
Occupation: Former Dancer, Adventurer
Place of Birth: Stonemountain Caves
Known Relatives: Mother (Unknown Name), Father (Unknown Name)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Episode Eleven: Deep, Dark, Revenge (This Is How We Roll)
History: Like all goblins from Stonemountain, Albert grew up a dancer. Unlike Charlie, who was always drifting off into fantasy land, and Bob, who Albert felt was completely indecisive about everything in his life – Albert just wanted to do every day life things, day in and day out – nothing to break the cycle. He believed doing things that were not a part of every day things was like denting a wheel on a wagon – it just wasn’t a good idea for productivity. For as long as he could remember, he has been friends with Bob and Charlie. The trio grew up together, forging a very strong friendship. Life, over all, had been easy for all the goblins of Stonemountain Caverns. Their only concern was attacks from bugbears (trolls!) – but to ensure that no such attack happened, they always had one person out on Bridge Watch.

One night, Dink was out on Bridge Watch. Albert, Bob and Charlie all noticed that he had not yet come back from it (and Dink was notorious for leaving as soon as his shift was over – sometimes even sooner).

Figuring they would investigate what had happened to Dink, they eventually found him, nearly passed out on the floor, where he explained to them that he had been ‘Out-Danced’ by a Dwarf and two companions (a human and a half-elf).

The trio dragged Dink back to the dance floor where he slowly recovered.

Unbeknownst to Albert and the others, things were set in motion that day that would change all of their lives.

Albert, Bob and Charlie would end up encountering Andrea the Assassin (the name she was going by at the time) and Daniel the Destructive as the duo were pursuing Peter and Grayson. Andrea the Assassin forcibly recruited the assistance of the Goblin trio with the use of Daniel the Destructive’s magic. Along the way, the trio of goblins complained and conspired to escape Andrea the Assassin’s ruthless control. Eventually, Ellen and Dink the Goblin were also recruited into Andrea the Assassin’s growing army of goblins. Dink and Ellen, however, met an untimely demise when Evil Foo killed them just to show how “evil” she was.

Andrea the Assassin, however, in turn, killed Evil Foo for what she had done – not that she cared about either Ellen or Dink, but mostly because the smaller army inconvenienced her. This, however, convinced the other three goblins to remain with Andrea the Assassin, until she finally caught up with Peter the Ranger and Grayson the Fighter in the home of the Crimson Dragon. In the confusion, the trio (Albert, Bob and Charlie) escaped and attempted to return home; only to discover their home had fallen under a new Goblin King, who had a glowing red sword and suspiciously glowing eyes. Suspecting that magic was involved, the trio investigated further – and discovered a bugbear (or perhaps a troll – that is still up for debate!) – had disguised itself and over thrown the original king. The three goblins were imprisoned and sentenced to death – only to be rescued by Ellen (whom they had resurrected off screen!)

Ellen remained to lead the freedom force against the new Goblin King, while the other three sought out Peter and Grayson to help them over throw the new ruler. The trio caught up to the two heroes outside The City of Neverending, where Peter met with them and agreed to help them, leaving with Annette the Archer who had freed herself from the Crimson Draco’s prison after the death of the Crimson Dragon.

Alan the Astounding.

Alan the Astounding!

Race: Halfling
Occupation: (Would Be) Wizard, Entertainer
Place of Birth: Green Hills
Known Relatives: Mother (Unknown Name), Father (Unknown Name)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Six: He’s A Magic Man!
History: Rugged is the life of Alan the Astounding. Growing up in Green Hills, Alan was always very secluded, very much to himself. During this recluse behavior was when Alan discovered his father’s books of magic. His father had been a well known wizard, throughout the land! (Or at least known throughout Green Hills).

Alan became obsessed with magic, swearing that he would be the best known mage in all the land! (He would settle for Green Hills, first, however). By the age of sixteen, he was doing simple magic tricks that were often done at kiddy birthday parties. He swore that this was a start, just to help fund his magical career as a wizard.

Unfortunately, Alan never got past that. He actually became “the most well known wizard” – for kiddy parties. There wasn’t a family out there that wanted Alan the Astounding to amaze their kids with his simple magic tricks. After years of doing this, and realizing he was never going to be anything more than that, Alan turned to drinking.

Alan began drinking rather excessively (it would seem everyone in Neverending Nights drinks excessively!). One day, Alan was recruited for a kiddy birthday party – and he took the job. However, Alan was still extremely drunk.

While intending to merely light the candles on the cake, Alan’s magic went out of control and ending up burning down the home of a very rich client. The word about Alan got around, and soon enough he wasn’t even getting jobs for kiddy parties.

But Alan lived in a world of denial. He still considers himself to be the greatest wizard ever! (And he will actually deny ever doing kiddy birthday parties – rather, he has big tales of single handedly killing dragons while the rest of his party members ran around in the cave, utterly feared by the dragon)!

Alan the Astounding met Peter the Ranger and Grayson the Fighter in one of the many bars he had frequented (and near the tail end, where he had already drank so much that standing on his own two feet was more difficult than stopping the world’s rotation – which, to Alan the Astounding – was rotating far quicker than he had remembered). When he lapsed into unconsciousness, Peter the Ranger took Alan the Astounding’s pouch, with the intent of one day repaying the Halfling the money that was inside of it. (After all, according to Peter and Grayson, they were going to kill a Dragon and split 50,000 gold between them – which, according to their math – gave them each 20,000 gold).

To add insult to injury, while desperate for food, Peter had accidentally summoned Alan the Astounding’s pet Cat familiar. Alan (“the Astounding!”) was already hunting them down (with many frequent stops in every bar along the way) – but now he was Hell bent on Vengeance. (After just ONE more drink…)

When Alan the Astounding finally caught up to Peter and Grayson, they had their own bar – The Bar of Destiny – in which Grayson offered Alan a life time of free drinks (after discovering that Alan’s pouch that they had taken had been a magical pouch that produced an infinite amount of coin – which was how Alan the Astounding was able to pay for all of his drinks!) Alan (“the Astounding!”) accepted Grayson’s offer and now does part time tricks in the bar (only when sober, under very watchful eyes).

Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown

Accessories:

FAMILIAR: Alan the Astounding does have a feline familiar whom he named “Cat.”named “Cat.”
