EPISODE 07: THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO… BOOM? – Peter and Grayson leave the town of Galana and continue their quest to become heroes – they go from a forested area to a frozen tundra – and Peter begins explaining the dangers of falling snow – because that’s when… The Ice Cube Monsters come out…!

So my friend Anita, whom I normally DM for, had taken an interest in DMing as well. So she ran Out of the Abyss, but many of the players felt it was too dark and depressing (and really, it starts off with the players being at a massive disadvantage, so it takes quite some time to feel heroic – and half the time, when… things are appearing, you’re almost always forced to keep fleeing quite a bit!) So it is a difficult module to get into.

So she opted to run something a little lighter (and my apologies, this was back in 2021, so I’ve forgotten what the short adventure was called). But the players all agreed we should play Tabaxi. And that’s what we did – we played as four Tabaxi. And as a result, I made the following image(s)…

It was birthed from the remark that I called us “Feline Force” – like some kind of super hero team – which spawned this into creation when I had a moment:

I am pretty sure I did a mock Issue #2 as well but can no longer find it. (These were from back in 2021, and I believe the DM had long since deleted the Discord server these images were posted on… I only found these because they were in a message I’d sent to someone about it…)

But I made a mock cover for issue #3 (each issue was a reference to that session)…

EPISODE 05: YE SALTY DOG – Peter and Grayson manage to find their way out of the woods, and enter the city of Galana, which Grayson recognizes and shares a story about a broken-hearted woman he met in Galana. Here, they also meet Poppy the Salt Vendor, who sells them bags of salt. Because everyone needs salt, right?
