Blessed Be!

The site is back up! Took some fighting and way too many days! But at least the site is back up. I am still in discussion with my original issue that they opened up that I was “abusing” the webspace, because I had too much data on the server. A similar issue happened back in 2011, and I had presented my case then, and they granted the exception. (I don’t even understand what the big deal is, because although I do have 50GB of files, from all the episodes, when I check the bandwidth – I average about 20 to 30GB.

  • October 2016 – 23.8 GB
  • September 2016 – 38.35 GB
  • August 2016 – 25.01 GB
  • July 2016 – 26.11 GB
  • June 2016 – 19.75 GB
  • May 2016 – 22.99 GB
  • April 2016 – 20.19 GB
  • March 2016 – 22.16 GB
  • February 2016 – 11.01 GB
  • January 2016 – 24.16 GB

And before I started doing these HD versions of the episodes? Even less.

  • December 2015 – 10.26 GB
  • November 2015 – 11.44 GB
  • October 2015 – 9.76 GB
  • September 2015 – 9.05 GB
  • August 2015 – 11.04 GB
  • July 2015 – 11.5 GB
  • June 2015 – 11.75 GB
  • May 2015 – 28.15 GB
  • April 2015 – 7.72 GB
  • March 2015 – 31.69 GB
  • February 2015 – 10.81 GB
  • January 2015 – 17.94 GB

Now, I could see if all of my files were being downloaded in massive quantity, that it was ripping up their servers. But that’s not the case. The average HD version of the episodes sits around 500MB (some as low as 200MB, some as high as 600MB – but for the sake of simple math, we will average it to 500MB). That means, for example, in the month of October 2016, 46 people downloaded an episode. That’s it. 46. The series isn’t extremely popular like it used to be. And plus, I have the episodes on Youtube and Facebook as alternatives to reach an audience. I get that there is no such thing as “infinite space” even if that’s what it says (and that is what my account is set up for). But if 58 GB of webspace warrants an “Abuse Ticket” then something is seriously wrong. I could see if I had like 580GB of data on there. Sure. But 58 GB?

Anyway. We will see where this goes next.
