I remember this was about spoofing Diablo II which we all got into… The Bossk Buster (mentioned in this strip) is a spoof of a very popular Diablo II hack/character editor called “Boba Fett Character Trainer.” Naturally Boba Fett is a bounty hunter in Star Wars… as is Bossk. So I spoofed the trainer by renaming it to another Star Wars Bounty Hunter. And naming the game “Mephisto II” was spoofing, naturally, the Diablo II name. I had picked “Mephisto” as the name, based on the devilish character in Marvel Comics (which I love) by the name of “Mephisto”…
