Gariff the Knight

Gariff The Knight

Race: Human
Occupation: Knight of the Bloodhunt
Place of Birth: Enspayne (Supposedly)
Known Relatives: Mother (Unknown Name), Father (Unknown Name), Kabewse (Brother)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Episode 1: Heroes?!
History: There are a number of mysteries that surround the Knights, Gariff and Kabewse. Though Gariff has told people that he was born in the distant, beautiful land of Espayne – there are no records that indicate his birth took place there. There is no record of his mother or father having ever lived there.

If one is to believe Gariff’s story, it’s that he and his brother, Kabewse, had always wanted to be Knights when they were older. Day in, day out, they had supposedly sat perched on their patio railing watching the Knights of the Bloodhunt train. Some have speculated that Gariff and Kabewse are not their real names, and that perhaps the Knights are sons to a King in some distant land (who had forbid them to become Knights because of the dangers that it entailed). To add to the ever growing mystery of the dynamic, knightly duo – they have never removed their mask – save for one time, when they had been question by the Captain of the Crimson Draco Legion in the City of Pomtom. Some Bards, such as Dimi, have claimed to have traveled with the Knights, and saw only a shadowed version of their faces, that were so horribly scarred that – for the first time in his life – words had failed him on how to describe it.

On the way to the City of Neverending, Gariff and Kabewse saved a woman who had been kidnapped by a tribe of barbaric trolls. At the Red Dragon Inn, they indirectly inspired (or perhaps intentionally so) Peter and Grayson to seek out their own adventure and become (in)famous – so that they could get free drinks at the bar, as these two Knights had.

Even stranger still, was that – the fact that where ever Peter and Grayson were – the two Knights could usually be spotted nearby. Whether they were walking around the City, or wandering around the various vendors in the City of Ator – the two Knights were never far behind. It was in the City of Pomtom, where the Captain of the Crimson Draco Legion suspected Gariff and Kabewse of being Peter and Grayson, since they wore the same colored armor. This was the first – time, confirmed – that the Knights had ever removed their helmets. Whatever the Captain of the Draco Legion saw in their faces, was enough to give him pause – and in the end, excuse them. Amiee the Armorer had contacted Ann the Armorer, in the City of Ator, to make armor that was exactly like Gariff and Kabewse’s, and was able to easily bypass the Crimson Draco Legion hunting party – who believed it was the two Knights that they had previously questioned.

The mystery of who they truly are, seems as though it will be forever shrouded in mystery. After the defeat of the Red Dragon, Crimson, both Knights seemingly vanished. There are rumors that the two Knights have traveled to other lands to inspire others to rise against the other Chromatic Dragon Orders around the world; but this has never been confirmed.

Ga-Nome

Ga-Nome the Gnome

Race: Gnome
Occupation: Spreading Rumors
Place of Birth: City of Neverending
Known Relatives: G-Knome (Brother)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Episode Two: 20k?!
History: G-Knome and Ga-Nome are twin gnomish brothers who were born in the City of Neverending. Most of the people who have lived in the City of Neverending often refer to them as “Gully Gnomes” (or “GG”‘s), this is because both of them have grown up on the streets, without parents, and have no respect for anyone or anything – other than their own self amusement. If they manage to cause someone discomfort, misfortune, or lead them astray – the duo is much happier for it. With no parental guidance, they never learned to respect anyone or anything – they try to take what they want – and when that doesn’t work, they try to steal what they want – and finally, if that doesn’t work, they will try to cause misfortune to the one they’re trying to steal from (or annoy them so much that the person simply hands over the item or items they want). The guards in the City of Neverending have stopped arresting them, because the gnomes simply enjoy the free food, water, and roof over their head (all the while taunting the guards relentlessly).

The two of them had overheard Peter and Grayson in the bar, talking about how they need to be heroes and open their own bar. The two discussed an idea and hatched it when Peter and Grayson stepped outside by the well – they purposely walked by Peter and Grayson and mentioned the Dragon of Silverlake (purposely saying it loud enough that Peter and Grayson would over hear them!), knowing the duo would seek out the Dragon of Silverlake – or at least a dragon to try and slay a dragon! As the duo of mischievous gnomes rounded the corner, they could barely contain their laughter. Unknowingly they set Peter and Grayson on a path to a far greater destiny than any could have possibly predicted.

Frostmourn the White

Frostmourn the White

Race: Dragon
Occupation: Ruler of the Northern Wastes
Place of Birth: Unknown
Known Relatives: Ankalagun (The All Father of Chromatic Dragons – Deceased), Skatha (The All Mother of Chromatic Dragons – Unknown), Obsidian (Black Dragon – Sister), Crimson (Red Dragon – Sister), Emerald (Green Dragon – Sister), Cobalt (Blue Dragon – Sister)
First Appearance: Never Appeared In An Episode.
History: When the Platinum Dragon arrived in the World of Mortals, he brought with him light and life to the world. Skatha, the all Mother of Chromatic Dragons, seeking to devour the light, had tried to consume the rainbows that burst through the dark, dank clouds of the world. She tried so furiously to prevent any and all color to enter the world that she absorbed it into herself – in the end, becoming a colorful dragon herself – each head, representing one of the colors of the world – Red, for the fire; Blue, for the Skies; Green, for the grass and tress; Black, for the shadows created by the light; and White, for the pure snow in the Northern Lands.

She grew so furious at the Platinum Dragon, that she cut herself and bled each of the five colors. In a vile attempt to ruin what each of those colors meant, she corrupted her blood and grew each of them into a mighty dragon – Red – whose breath of fire was hotter than anything known; Blue, for the skies, whose lightning bolt breath could destroy anything; Green, for the grass, whose poisonous breath was made from some of the most lethal plants; Black, for the shadows, whose acidic breath was a massive force of destruction; and White, for the snow, whose breath could freeze anyone’s blood. When they were ready, she unleashed them upon the world.

After a thousand years of fighting and nearly sundering the World of Mortals, the Chromatic and Metallic Dragons agreed to leave the World of Mortals; it had been Cobalt that had arranged for the agreement, weaving her words in such a manner that it left a loophole for the Chromatic Dragons to return to the World of Mortals, knowing that once her deception had been revealed, the Metallic Dragons, bound by their Word and Honor, would still not violate their Oath.

Frostmourn claimed the Northern Wastelands, covered in endless waves of snow. It was here that she called home – and it was here that she reigned over the lands without mercy. Frostmourn the White was often thought to be the weakest of all the sister Dragons. However, she had a thirst for bloodshed like no other Dragon. She specialized in war, and leading her Frost Armies against any village within the Northern Wastes. Her soldiers knew when the time for war was upon them, because she would rear her head up and boom, “Frostmourn hungers!”

Frostmourn did not hide the rivalry between her and her sister, the Crimson Dragon and when news of her demise reached the Northern Wastes, she began scheming and planning to move her armies south, into the lands once ruled by her now deceased sister.

Eyes: White
Hair: N/A (As Dragon)

Accessories:

WEAPON: As a Dragon, Frostmourn’s frozen breath can freeze someone to the point of shattering their bodies like brittle ice.

Frank the Mind Ripper

Frank the Mind Ripper

Race: Mind Ripper
Occupation: Devourer of Brains
Place of Birth: Netherblack
Known Relatives: Mother (Unknown Name), Father (Unknown Name)
First Appearance: Neverending Nights – Thirty Six: Mind Over Matter
History: Frank the Mind Ripper, along with his two closest friends, George and Hank, fellow Mind Rippers fled their home of Netherblack, because they felt it was just too dark and depressing. (Not to mention the selection of brains to devour was becoming pretty slim pickings!) The trio of Mind Rippers decided to take refuge in Smirkwood, a large forest known to generally make people happy (this was due to the pollen within the forest which often caused those traveling through it to experience sheer moments of bliss, thus the name “Smirkwood” because everyone always had a smirk when leaving the woods). This “bliss” effect often allowed the trio of Mind Rippers to ambush the unsuspecting travelers through the woods.

The trio of Mind Rippers is discovered by Peter and Grayson, as well as Pawl (who at this time had been reincarnated into a Minotaur). The Mind Rippers found that they could not possess the three would be heroes (Peter’s mind was too blank, Grayson’s mind had the fiery sword protecting it, and Pawl’s mind still appeared to be a dwarven mind). The three Mind Rippers agreed to let the three heroes go, on the promise that they never speak of seeing the Mind Rippers in the forest.

As it would turn out, Grayson put a bounty on the three Mind Rippers once the Dragon of Silver Lake had been slain – forcing the three Mind Rippers to return to Netherblack, where their fate remains unknown.

Eyes: White
Hair: None

Accessories:

MAGIC: Like all Mind Rippers, they are able to possess victims and devour their brains, gaining the knowledge of their victims.
