I asked the user if I could publish it on the site, as I found it very flattering that they nailed down everything NeN was about and saw it for what NeN has always been intended to be:
Hey Tawmis! I just finished up watching Season 1 of your machinima series. On YouTube I’m RyuMassacre so to answer your question: Yeah I’m new to Neverwinter Nights. I remember when you just started making the series when I was active on the site soooo many years ago. Now you’re up to what? 48 episodes!?! I just got back on now with a renewed interest in machinima (and a lot of free time being out of college). I appologize for coming straight to you because unfortunately 113 pages of thread is WAY too much for me haha
One thing about season one that really fascinated me was how badly I wanted to keep coming back to it! I watched at good 12 or so episodes the other night and when I was at work all the next day I repeatedly thought, “AH I really want to watch some more Neverending Nights!” It reminded me of watching YuYu Hakusho this year ha The humor was really low key (my first LOL moment was the summoning of the cat hahaha SO good) but I kept coming back to it because the writing was so captivating!
I also noticed a lot of talk about lip synch in the first few pages but I really feel like the (now) elementary asthetic of the game just makes you accept it as no big deal. Now when I start shooting my next project in say GOW2 people are gonna call that out in an instant 🙂
I just felt credit was due to you and Adam so great job so far! I’ve been trying to make some connections on the site now that I’m back. You’ve become quite the active user over these 5 years haha Again great job on Season 1! I’m going to get started on 2 soon 🙂
