Sadly, I haven’t gotten any updates yet. Calling Project: Wildlife to get updates, is impossible, since they focus on assisting folks who have wildlife to take care of (either to bring in for rescue, or to tell you have to capture something safely; or who to contact if they can’t come out). I wrote them an email, through their website – got an automated reply saying, I should get an answer within three days. That was two weeks ago. It’s understandable, however. They’re 100% volunteer work. Funding is through donations (we donated $35, since we dropped off the hawk; felt like we wanted to help out somehow). It’s kind of a bummer, because I was hoping I could get updates on the hawk (they gave the wife a unique number that reflects the hawk) – but such, appears to not be the case.
If you have no clue what any of this means, the original story of the hawk was posted over here on the site. There’s also a thread for the hawk on the forum. You can also check out Kathleen Zuelch’s website here.
