A long time ago, when I did a comic…

Well, I … borrowed… due to lack of my own drawing talent.

I used the characters from Order of the Stick and just put text over things from the games I was in.

For a recap…

I found my notes on all the stuff from that… so I figured I’d post it here.

Figmend’s Dancing Sphere of Inferno Flames (Evocation)
9th Level Wizard Spell
Range: 100 yards/level
Components: V Duration: 10 round/level
Casting Time: 1
Area of Effect: 30 cubic ft/level
Savings Throw: None
Figmend’s Dancing Sphere of Inferno Flames is a powerful spell. Figmend had been a mage who had sold his soul to a demon lord of the Abyss to gain more power. Figmend had unknowningly been betrayed by the said demon (because they’re such the trusting kind), and had the “spirit” of a fire – elemental placed in his soul. Figmend had been told that the braces that he provided would ensure that Figmend remained in control of the fire elemental within him, which was the new source of power for the mage – however, each time he cast this powerful spell, it always went out of control. It turns out that Figmend was cursed – no matter what spell he cast, he had always killed those adventuring with him. However, Figmend, in hopes of finding a “cure” for the spell jotted it down and passed it to other wizards. Other wizards, astounded by Figmend’s deal with the demon and the power given – also made similiar deals with the demon. So Figmend’s spell spread like a mad disease, throughout mage schools, infecting all mages with the desire for power. Though Figmend’s Dancing Sphere of Inferno flames is a powerful one, it does come at a cost! The spell does 20d20xd10 worth of damage every round the person is on fire! The only way to put out the magical fire is if a Lawful Good Cleric worshipping an evil god or demon, spins three times backwards chanting, “Alibaba and the magic flame!” This spell was featured in Episode 23 and 24 of the strip.

Blade of Giant Blood Consumption
The Blade of Giant Blood Consumption is a rather large, overly sized blade that was crafted to slay giants and giant kin. The blade is both magical as well as having an ego. No, not the standard ‘magic weapon’ ego points – it actually has an ego. The blade, in combat, will often animate itself and begin to taunt any opponents. This insane taunting causes the attackers to get so angry that they actually get a bonus of +2 to hit. The Blade of Giant Blood Consumption was made Odor, the all father of the Nurse Gods. The blade considers any foe taller than the current weilder of the blade a ‘giant’ and strikes as such, having a +12 to hit, with 12+2d20xd10 damage. The downside to all of this is that in order to use the magical blade, the character must be a barbarain with the strength of 3, which is somehow amplified (magically) to a strength of 18 or more. The magical blade was revealed in Episode 25.

Ethenberg, the guardian of mercy and protection.
Ethenberg is thought to be a “dead god” – in that no one currently knows or even worships Ethenberg. Only one person, a cleric (played by Christi) worships this god. The god supposedly came to her in a vision, and when the cleric awoke – she had a stone embedded into her forehead. Now she goes around saying that her god is in her forehead, embedded within the stone! Her mission is to restore faith in Eth because with each worshipper, her god grows in strength. Of course, most think she’s a lunatic, first for having a stone embedded in her forehead, then to run, rant, and rave that this supposed god which the entire world has forgotten, supposedly “dwells” in her forehead. Needless to say, her campaign to get more followers has been less than successful – and no wonder people stopped worshipping Ethenberg – you’d figure a god would be smarter and grant his cleric a charisma of 25 or something to draw attention to her, not jam a gem in her forehead.

Girdle of Hill Giant Strength and Wisdom
This girdle gives anyone who wears it the strength of a hill giant (19 strength). However, the girdle also gives the one who wears it the wisdom and intelligence of a hill giant (3 int, 3 wis). So often, when someone wears the girdle, they forget why they had slapped it on in the first place. The person wearing it becomes the equivalent of a child. However, one hit from this person will do 3d6x2d10 damage – and that’s just with their bare hands!

Vial of Paint Thy Wish
This vial of paint is magically and allows the artist to paint anything that they desire and within moments it takes form. The vial of paint does have one draw back – it is also known as the Vile Paint of Thy Wish – meaning, the item that is painted, comes out being rather vile, cruel and twisted.

Figmend’s Speed Demon (Evocation) 9th Level
Wizard Spell Range: 100 yards/level
Components: V
Duration: 10 round/level
Casting Time: 1
Area of Effect: 10 people per level
Savings Throw: Special, see below.
Figmend’s Speed Demon spell allows anyone graced with the spell incredible speed. The person graced with the spell can do 10x their normal attack ratio. The way that Figmend’s Speed Demon works is the caster, who by rules of the spell, has to sell their own soul to a demon lord at some time in their life, is able to cast a “demon” into the target. The demon then takes over the person’s body, hasting them magically to the incredible speed. Of course, the cost of this precious spell is one year off the person’s life (the demon cast into them needs it to feast on). Anyone blessed (so to speak) with Figmend’s Speed Demon spell also does an additional 10d6 damage, because of the whirling speed of the target. Of course, when the spell wears off, the target who has the spell cast on them must make a savings throw at that time, to cast the demon out. If it fails the DM doesn’t have to let them know, and can thus take over the character and have them do what he pleases at any time. Figmend’s Speed Demon appeared in episode 36.

Everjourney: An online game played on a large community. On this game there are no rules provided, simply a CD entitled “Everjourney.” Though the makers of “Everjourney” know the game is full of bugs and glitches, they continue to sell it, and despite the fans and folks who pay for the game’s monthly fee – the makers of “Ever- journey” continue to rake in the dough, since everyone who complains, never really quits. Just complain. Alot. I mean ALOT. I can’t emphasize how much. But it’s ALOT. Really. It appears in Episode 39.

Mephisto II: A hack and slash multiplayer game that tries to pass itself off as a “role playing game.” It promotes, “We encourage you to role play characters that hack and slash. But this is not a hack and slash game since you’re role playing hack and slash characters, thus making it a role playing game.” Mephisto II supports up to 80 players in one game at once! The idea is that, in the south, southwest, southeast, northwest, northeast and north points of the world, there are stones which contain devils – the time has come for the stones to shatter unless you can go in there, and hack and slash these devils and their terrible minions, and save the poor town of Martsirt and Lady Ganderson! It appears in Episode 40.

Blade of the Aires Azure Skies: One of the most powerful blades in the game of Mephisto II. This incredible blade takes possession of the person who dares use its incredible power. The blade is believed to once been used by a honorable man by the name of Sawmit, who fell to darkness. The knight, Sawmit, had been a man who had sold his soul to a demon lord of the Abyss to gain more power. Swamit had unknowningly been betrayed by the said demon (because they’re such the trusting kind), and had the “spirit” of a fire – granted the weilder unregistered powers, including flight and incredible damage. Turns out, the demon struck a deal and slipped its own soul into the hilt of the blade. However, Sawmit, in hopes of finding a “cure” for the sword went out seeking help. Sawmit learned that the blade discovered his intetions and would slay any that dared to try and help. Despite this, Sawmit would continue to find a way to destroy the blade, which led to more and more murders, which drove Sawmit’s soul deeper and deeper into the bowels of El Diablo. It appears in Episode 40.

Sukkabus The first real “boss” monster in Mephisto II, in the first act. A demoness who lures players to their death with promises of sexual gratification. Most succumb – but have no complaints in the after life. It appears in Episode 40.
